New Berlin Splash pad

Throughout the summer of 2019, along with our Village engineer firm, trustees gathered feasibility information, spoke to community groups and gathered information to compile our 200+ page application in August of 2019.  In October of that year our project was selected for the final round out of over 250 applicants.  Kris Neuman and Stephanie Snyder gave a 4 minute presentation before the Illinois Department of Natural Resources OSLAD grant committee and were selected as one of the 83 projects to receive a maximum request of $300,000 with the Village agreeing to match those funds to complete this project.  The Village is using TIF funds, which are funds collected from 7 large taxing bodies affiliated with our Village (not residents) to improve and bring new businesses and opportunities to our community.  The official press release can be seen at: https://www2.illinois.gov/dnr/news/Pages/Governor-Pritzker-Announces-$28.9-Million-in-Grants-for-Illinois-Park-Projects.aspx
